EPS systems eliminate the need for a pump, hoses and a drive belt connected to the engine using variable amounts of power. It can be accessed from the top once you remove the body panel below the headlight pod. If you do this then trace the wiring harness from the fuse box back towards the handle bars you will find the fan breaker and then below the pod you will find the EPS relay and base ty-wrapped to the harness. But if you are a DIYer and you really want it, you can pull it off. The power steering pump will cost you somewhere between $200 to $600 if you find it used. But in addition to this, you will also need to do new plumbing and fitting. And this might require more money as well.
